  • Subsequent to the completion of required training, this group responds to the scene for all fire, rescue, and hazardous materials alarms.  Their primary responsibility is to ensure a safe and unobstructed area for firefighters, rescue personnel and emergency vehicles, as well as providing spectator and crowd control.  Their secondary assignment is to assist the general public by establishing detour routs and traffic control.  With roads in our first response zone varying from divided highways to narrow local streets, this can be a challenging task.  The Fire Police also work closely with the Tredyffrin and Easttown Township Police Departments providing traffic and crowd control services during parades, fairs and other special events.
  • The Fire Police unit currently consists of male and female members from college students to retired persons and we are always looking for more participants.  This is a great way to serve the community!  You must be 18 years of age or older to serve as part of the Fire Police.
